Today Bing UK has announced that it is now possible for people in Britain to search for events around the UK. This feature has been available in the US for some time but has now been fully enabled in the UK.

I was actually using the event listing back in August when looking for something to do near Kent which I guess was part of a soft launch or trial of the feature. I actually didn’t think it was that new, or else I would have written an article about it. Upon first inspection there’s an impressive number of venues and events listed.

When a user clicks on the name of a venue they are presented with a complete list of the up coming events. For anyone at Bing UK reading this, I did notice in the below screenshot that the pin on the map is actually in the wrong place.

I look forward to using this service in the future, I‘m sure it will come in very useful at times.
