Microsoft has just released an update to their Zune PC Software bringing the software up to version 4.8. I am about to work my way through the update and try and discover what is new with this update other than being mandatory for all Windows Phone Mango devices to connect to a PC.

Update 1: Zune services now appear to be more global as Microsoft has updated its “Availability of Zune software and services by location” page (via @tromboneforhire and @maryjofoley)

Update 2: Zune Pass is no more. Zune Music Pass is its new name. Not seen any other changes so far.

Update 3: There now appears to be larger margins around elements on the screen, this is most obvious in vertical lists of text such as a list of artists. I expect this is to make the software more user friendly.

I would like if I would buy games on my Windows Phone with Microsoft Points or PayPal. I am brazilian and I use Zune Music Pass since august 8. Anyway, I am very happy that Microsoft are working for my country. I use Xbox, PC with Zune and Windows Phone. Oh, my email is a Hotmail.co.uk account. So good. Hugs from Brazil. Ps: Great blog. I like to read this.

"I have annother tip. You could have all your documents folder synced to skydrive if you right click the my documents folder and change the location of my documents to a folder within skydrive. That way when you change something in my documents folders it is also updated to skydrive. You can do this to sync between computers if you don't exceed the skydrive limit."
