In about 20 minutes Microsoft will start a live announcement via Channel 9 to announce something related to Kinect and from what I, and others, have been told it will be that the Kinect for Windows SDK is being made available. Make sure you are watching the live stream, I imagine its going to be very interesting.
Aside from any announcements made I find it very interesting that Microsoft are using Channel 9 for this announcement. Channel 9 Live has usually only been used to provide live coverage of events such as MIX and PDC and I think its a great idea to use it for more, small announcements like this that aren’t being made at a conference. It will be far better than just a press release being sent out and should get Channel 9 more coverage. I hope to see more Channel 9 Live announcements over the summer.
