I have one of the same concerns about Windows 8 as Long Zheng and that is with the multitasking UI for the immersive UX on Windows 8. In the demo a user just swipes from the left to go back through a chorological list of open applications, this requires a user to remember the order of apps and if they are swiping quickly and miss the app they want then they have to go through the entire list again which I imagine could get quite long.
Therefore, I have quickly cobbled together a concept that might require more steps by the user to get back to the last app but should be quicker and easier to navigate through the recently used apps. It would be accessible in the same way that moving back through the list of open apps is, by swiping on the left of the screen. It could also allow a user to scroll up and down vertically if they have many apps open.
I have a few more thoughts on Windows 8.
What do you think about the concept?
