Just a quick post to let you know that I shall be going to see the next version of Windows Phone on May 24th in London and I can’t wait. I am very excited. You can be sure that I will be tweeting, blogging taking pictures, etc, etc as much as possible throughout the day.

And with that I suppose I best get back to revision and try to not to be too excited by this news until after my last exam…not sure that is going to happen though.

[...] On May 24th Microsoft will be previewing the next version of Windows Phone (I’m reliably informed it will be called Windows Phone 7.5) to “VIPs” in London and New York at the same time. I imagine the event will be similar to the launch of Windows Phone; there will be a live feed to London from the New York event with Joe Belfiore announcing the new features and possibly even new phones. Then the feed will stop and I expect us in London will told of some UK/Europe specific information, perhaps with a showcase of devices only for Europe. I expect we will then get some hands on experience of the new features and possible devices. [...]

"I have annother tip. You could have all your documents folder synced to skydrive if you right click the my documents folder and change the location of my documents to a folder within skydrive. That way when you change something in my documents folders it is also updated to skydrive. You can do this to sync between computers if you don't exceed the skydrive limit."

"Whta's about hardlinks (fsutil....) - so you can have yor original useful file structure and those folders, which should be synced, as hardlinks in the skydrive-structure? However, Live Mesh rules and I am also sad, that this good important difference to dropbox & Co - I can select, which folders of my structure should be synced - is now missing. "

"Wouldn't it be nice for the Windows Phone 7 app to have a back-up functionality? That you can back-up all (or a section of) your pictures, documents on your phone instead of the one-by-one approach."
