Since September I have been eagerly awaiting the arrival of the HTML5 version of Bing, we were promised it would arrive a month after the IE9 beta went public and here we are nearly 6 months latter and we still don’t have the new Bing. However this is all set to change over the coming weeks.
Tom Warren has just written about a new preview site that has appeared for people to opt into the new version of Bing. Currently its not possible for people to access the new features but it is coming soon.
From looking at the small image of the preview it appears that the suggestion box will become more powerful showing not only suggestions but also search results. It will be interesting to see how much like Google Instant this feature acts like and if Microsoft have been able to add more to feature. I’d hope that the Bing image in that picture is actually a video, I guess we will find out at MIX.
