Earlier today Liveside wrote an article about a new IE9 related mystery which goes by the name of Dev:unplugged. Little is known about what this is so I had a hunt around for more information. A Bing search later I had found the below link to a Microsoft site mentioning Dev:unplugged.
Sadly this site had no mention on Dev:unplugged when I accessed it but it did have an image about the new IE9 RC. However, thanks to the power of caching I was able to see the page when it did have the Dev:unplugged info. The info seems to be in the place of the IE9 RC info that is currently shown.
Dev:unplugged would appear to be a contest to get people to make websites that do some great things without the need for plugins (i.e. unplugged). There is no information about the prize for this competition is. It would seem like this competition would need to be announced soon as its for the RC version of IE9, not the final; maybe SXSW will the event chosen to announced this competition. It certainly appears that this picture and information were published before it was meant to be.
Currently the image links to the IE9 developer focused page.
Has anyone else found out information about this competition? If so let me and the guys at Liveside know about it, thanks.
