I saw a tweet earlier from @jamesoneill mentioning that BBC Radio 4’s podcasts were able to be directly downloaded to the Zune software in the UK. This is indeed true and its not just Radio 4, its all BBC radio stations and all services that provide podcasts; all of which can be found through www.bbc.co.uk/podcasts. Its possible to subscribe using Zune to any BBC podcast direct from the website.
I had a look for more info about Zune and there was very little mention of it else where other than the bit below.
I thought this an interesting achievement for Zune in the UK and should at least allow for some people to discover, at the very least, that a credible alternative to iTunes exists. Have you seen other sites in the UK featuring links to Zune since it’s now officially supported in the UK?
I still think it odd that its not yet possible to browse the podcast section of the Zune marketplace though in the Zune PC software or on Windows Phone 7, hopefully this will change soon.
