We know that Zune service is coming to the UK very soon. I know that the back end infrastructure has been in place for months as I tried the Zune Pass Trial out back at the end of July. But I have received conflicting reports of whether Zune Pass is working the Xbox dashboard update preview. Sadly the Zune Pass is not available through the Zune PC Software yet and wont be until version 4.7 is launched when Windows Phone 7 is released. It is, however, possible to stream any of the millions of tracks through any web browser from zune.net.
Have you tried out the Zune Pass or the Trial on the new dashboard on your Xbox 360 in the UK? Were you able to stream as much music as you like?
Maybe there’s a reader out there who has even bitten the bullet and actually bought the Zune Pass for a month. How is it working out for you? I am currently loathed to buy the Zune Pass until I can access the music through the Zune Software on my PC and on my phone (as a student I need to save as much money as possible).
On a side note I discovered earlier this week that the Twitter profile page for @UKZune gave a 404 but the profile page for @ZuneUK just said “that the page doesn’t exist”. This is no longer the case as both profile pages inform me “that the page doesn’t exist”. I wonder if we will see @UKZune become an active Twitter account over the next few weeks.
