Upon reading Twitter this morning I see that @lituus has been giving use more information about Microsoft and the future of its products. @Lituus has given us information before and as far as I can tell he hasn’t been wrong yet.
The first piece of information was about Windows Phone 7 and how Windows Live Sync and SkyDrive will integrate with the devices, don’t expect anything for a while people.
#tip MSFT will work on sync (beyond ActiveSync) in WP 7.2.x.x. Live Sync/Skydrive storage integration will happen when reliability improves.
The next piece of information is about the rumour that surface yesterday about AOL and Microsoft partnering on search in the same way Yahoo and Microsoft do, or for Microsoft to outright buy AOL.
AOL may use Bing as search provider like Yahoo. Not attempting full sale to Microsoft. However, getting AIM users might be a good idea.
The last interesting is from last week and is about the rumoured Zune Pass reduction in price.
#tip Zune Pass “Plus” tier $15/mo ,10 song credit & unlimited streaming & downloads on 3 devices. New base tier $5/mo, no credits & 1 device
There is certainly some interesting information in these tweets and if the Zune Pass information is correct then Zune is going to become far more competitive with other music subscription services and will surely be very attractive to music loving customers. I think it a shame that Sync and SkyDrive wont be integrated straight away into Windows Phone but I can see why it isn’t a priority, hopefully it wont be too long after release that we see this integration added; I am still hearing a release time in September for the mobile OS.
What do you think about these tweets?
Keep up the good tweets @lituus.
