United Airlines have announced It is being reported that United Airlines have entered (via Inside the Circle) a partnership with Microsoft to allow its passengers access to more music than ever before. The Zune music service from Microsoft is being used to provide various channels, such as Soundtracks, Electronic Dance, Opera and Piano Jazz, as part of the in-flight entertainment to compliment some of the current music offering on board.
This is excellent news for us Zune fans and comes as quite the surprise, yes I have been expecting Zune to appear as a service on more products but those products were Android devices not aeroplanes. It will be interesting to see where else Microsoft plan on bringing Zune as it now seems that they have bigger plans than just handheld consumer devices.
