Today is certainly a busy day for Windows Live Wave 4 news. Over on My Microsoft Life’s Facebook page one reader Nigel Ansell has shared the dates of key events in Windows Live Wave 4’s progression, as you can see below:
- 28 April VIP testers will get access to latest builds…
- 18 May WL2010 M3 RTW.
- 3 June Complete Public disclosure.
- 7 June Public Beta Day.
- 7 June iPhone main languages Messenger.
- 25 August iPhone additional languages Messenger + PUBLIC RTW
It is my understanding that the recent leak has come about because VIPs were given access to a build of the suite which was subsequently leaked, it appears that another release to VIPs will happen in just over a month’s time, maybe we can expect another leak about that time; if Microsoft still plan to release the suite.
The timeline actually fits in well with what I have heard, up until recently the beta was expected to be released in May however last week I was told it had bee n pushed back a couple of weeks so early June seems about right. Other than a potential date for a beta and full release (RTW = Release To World? Web)of the suite what does seem interesting the fact that there will be an iPhone version of Messenger, something we have often heard rumoured.
Obviously this isn’t hard fact but its the first time (I think anyway) we have been given precise dates for Windows Live Wave 4 and all I can say is mark 7th June in your calendars, its only 3 months away. My thanks to Nigel for the info.
Update: Francisco Martín García has informed me that he had this information before I posted it, apologies. You can check the information out here.
