If, like me, you can’t wait to get your hands on some Windows Phone 7 Series goodness then you might like to take a look at this Silverlight Sudoku game which has been ported from the iPhone but has the Metro interface.

It acts just like I am expecting this app to on the new OS fro watching as many videos of 7 Series as possible and I enjoyed the effects. I have been concerned that the effects could get in the way of just trying to achieve something on the device but if the effects will be like this then I have no worries; it appears that the folks over at wmpoweruser.com aren’t such big fans “the cut-off text started grating pretty quickly”.

Wmpoweruser.com do point out though “the ease with which good-looking user interfaces can be created in Silverlight relatively quickly” which for me is great. I am into things looking right, something that certainly can never be said for Windows Mobile!

The creator of this Silverlight has provided lots of information for anyone interested in how he did it, beware non-devs.

Here’s a shot of the transition between game and main menu, might look a little odd here but its great in the app.
