MSN China Releasing Messenger For iPhone?
This is an odd story from LiveSino as it appears that MSN China will be releasing a Windows Live Messenger app for the iPhone however this doesn’t appear to be “the” Windows Live Messenger app, just one from MSN China.
Microsoft Translator gives the following translation for the text in the article:
Derived from anonymous persons: MSN China (i.e. meisien) will launch its outsourcing of Windows Live Messenger for iPhone application, after the official release will come and join us on iTunes application store. But please note: this version of Microsoft’s official launch of the possible future iPhone version of Windows Live Messenger application.
And Google says:
Derived from anonymous sources: MSN China (that is, the United States msn) will launch its outsourced Windows Live Messenger for iPhone applications will be settled officially released iTunes application store. But please note: This version of Microsoft’s official launch of the iPhone possible future version of Windows Live Messenger application irrelevant.
That sounds to me as though this is very much an app from MSN China but wont mean there wont be an official Windows Live Messenger app.
As I’m not an iPhone owner or live in China this doesn’t really affect me at all but it will be interesting to see what people think of the app. Its good to see Microsoft bringing more apps to its competitors platforms however a more concerted effect would be better (ie. a real Windows Live app).

The WL Messenger for iPhone app is not the Microsoft one. MS Translator makes mistake in the translation. lol

So its the not official one, its just an app from MSN China that has messenger functionality right?
