PRNEwswire have today released the findings of their eighth Top 500 Business Superbrands survey which sees Google knocked off the top spot, which it had had for 2 years running, and Microsoft take it it. Google is now ranked as 5th and Microsoft was 2nd in 2007 and 2008, and 5th in 2009. As fake as the image appears to be it is indeed real and comes from the official Press Release.
The survey isn’t just guesswork but “compiled by The Centre for Brand Analysis (TCBA), on behalf of the Superbrands organisation, and examines the views of a panel of Experts and over 1,700 UK business professionals”.
Its good to see Microsoft doing so well in the UK and looking forward to the end of the year surely Microsoft’s business position is likely to only get stronger with profits from Project Natal, Windows Phone 7 Series and the release of the Zune brand just in time for Christmas.
