Well it just wouldn’t be right if Liveside weren’t the ones to pick up on some more images of Wave 4 product, this time from cnBeta.com, and this time they have found another set of Messenger pictures which again hint at even more pictures.
In the first screenshot it is clear to see that it is possible to have Wave 4 Messenger look pretty much how it is today in the “classic” view, accessible by the button to the right of “Options” near the top. Obviously though the classic view will benefit from all the new features that appear to be coming in Wave 4. I also wonder if we can expect to see that header image as one of the new Windows Live “themes”.
Here is another picture of the extended version of Messenger showing the “highlights” section but in the above picture there are a few new items. In the middle column the first image is a shared photo which users can view on a map, at least one Live service looks set to support geotagged photos. Below that image it looks like it will be possible to send video messages to contacts possibly rolling the current beta video messages service into Messenger or a broader Video service. Then looking at the bottom right we not only see that its possible to connect to Windows Live and Facebook but also Twitter and WordPress (as Liveside points out its not entirely clear why WordPress is there).
The final picture shows a new way to organise one’s friends in various views including your favourites and their interests, details, availability and more.
Liveside have also been shown a new set of emoticons for Wave 4 Messenger as seen above.
