This morning I opened Facebook as I normally do and went on my Profile and an ad on the right side caught my eye, it was an ad for Windows Phone 7 Series. At first I thought this was for a group or something but upon clicking the ad I was sent to a Microsoft page announcing Windows Phone 7 Series as seen below.

I am very surprised Microsoft are already advertising Windows Phone 7 Series, there are still at least 8 months until this hits stores. It will be interesting to see in what other Microsoft is trying to gain awareness for new mobile OS but if they do too much and people can’t buy it’ll surely turn some people away from it.

I guess Microsoft have assigned a larger marketing budget for Windows Phones than they did for Bing and if they can show off the new OS well in the ads Windows Phones will definitely be the must have gadget for Christmas 2010.
