People In The UK Able To Access Zune.net Through Software?

I have heard at least one report from @databasejase that Zune software users in the UK can sign in to their Zune accounts in the software and access things like the marketplace and have access to buying a Zune Pass Subscription.

I am running the latest version of Zune like @databasejase of 4.2.202.0 and running my PC in the UK locale but I have not got access to any Zune.net services within the software. How about anyone else, can you access Zune.net functionality outside the US from the software?

I know it has been confirmed that Zune will be going international by the 2010 holidays but I wasn’t expecting any new functionality this soon.

I will keep you updated with info as soon as I know more.

Hello, I live in France and I’ve got full access to Zune services. I just had to change my Live.com Account and my Regional settings in Windows -> US-EN
Everything works great now.

Yeah it’s great having access to the zune.net services in the software but can you access the services if your PC is set to FR-FR? I can’t access the services if my PC is set to EN-GB but some people seem to be able too.

Well actually, It seems that after having successfully created my account using EN-US, the application lets me using it with FR-FR. Don’t really understand how it works, but it does. So my PC is now FR but my Live account has to be US, it won’t work if I use FR for my Live account.

It appears most of the Zune functions are simply ‘on’ or ‘off’, and by forcing them on in the registry you can access them anywhere. Obviously you can’t buy anything, and play counts and songs listened to don’t update on your social card, but you can sign in with a non-US account and with your region set to UK, enjoying the same features the US version has such as the marketplace itself, podcasts, Smart DJ (recently removed in International version), Mixview, etc.

I live in the uk and since moving back from U.S. with my zune which i got from there i cannot update my zune so i am stuck on 2.3.It says that i need file ‘zune-86.msi.I have tried to do this but without success.Can anyone help me?

"I have annother tip. You could have all your documents folder synced to skydrive if you right click the my documents folder and change the location of my documents to a folder within skydrive. That way when you change something in my documents folders it is also updated to skydrive. You can do this to sync between computers if you don't exceed the skydrive limit."
