Just by chance I decided to play around on the new version of Bing Maps and stumbled across this.
That is apparently the view when looking down West 37th Street in Chicago but as you can clearly see this is back of the van the camera was mounted on and I think I know the culprit for this little accident.
This view does however provide structural engineers with a way to inspect bridges from the comfort of their own homes.
The drivers of the van must have realised something was wrong quite quickly as there it only appears to be 4 images that are completely wrong, lets hope Bing address this soon.
Update: Well as you can see in the comments I have been reliably informed (thanks mapsman) that the camera took the camera down rather than let it get hit by the bridge which is nice to know.
