Windows Mobile 7 coming to HD2
Just read a post on PocketNow that reports the official HTC Russian Twitter account has confirmed that Windows Mobile 7 will be coming to the HD2. This is exciting stuff, I had wanted to hear something about this but was always fearful that it may never happen.
Obviously this is only from a Twitter account and could be denied by HTC but at least it seems more like the HD will receive an official upgrade from HTC.
The original tweet in Russian was:
@StalkerZoner для Diamond 2 прошивки не планируется. Из существующих коммуникаторов на рынке, только HD2 получит прошивку до WM7.
And as translated by Microsoft:
for Diamond 2 firmware. From existing switches on the market, only HD2 receives firmware to WM7.
Hopefully there will be more good news for Windows Mobile users in the next week with CES and the latest news to come from Microsoft about Windows Mobile 6.5.3 and Xbox Live coming to the OS.
