According to the BBC, from an article about Bing gain market share in the US,
In the UK, Bing has also made small inroads into Google’s market share.
In August the number of searches on Bing increased by 5%, while Google searches were down 1.7%, according to UK online measurement firm Nielsen.
Good to see that it is not just the US that Bing is being used more and more. I went and poked around the Nielsen site after reading the BBC article, but couldn’t find anything. I then looked on Hitwise UK and all i could find was this little table buried away, clearly showing that Bing is the second most used search engine in the UK, behind Google.
I am trying to find out some older data for the ranking of Bing in the UK to be able to see just how well Bing is doing in the UK, but yet to find out anything more than the above info.
If you know of any websites that provide a good amount of info and details about search engine rankings in the UK then please let me know.
